The SEP Cloud client for Mac is updated periodically to provide enhancements and improvements. The next update is scheduled to start May 13, 2019.

What’s new
In this release, the SEP Cloud 8.x clients for Mac will be updated to version 8.4 to fix several issues related to the client stability and performance.

  • Mac OS 10.14.5 Day Zero support: Kernel Extension notarization based on Apple Requirement for macOS version 10.14.5.
  • Fixed an issue where devices restarted after the completion of the SEP Cloud installation.
  • Fixed the erroneous appearance of the +Device button on the SEP Cloud client UI that opened the Norton Sign In page.
  • Fixed an issue where the “At Risk: Your Mac needs to be scanned for viruses and spyware” status was displayed.
  • Fixed an issue that is related to the SEP Cloud client UI not opening.
  • Fixed few client issues related to: LiveUpdate tool, Firewall, SymSharedSettings.

  • All SEP Cloud 8.x clients for Mac will be updated to 8.4 in the background, using LiveUpdate.
  • This update does not affect the security of your devices.

    Action Required
    All users with the Mac devices that run version 8.x of the SEP Cloud client are prompted to restart their devices after the update. Even if they delay the restart, their devices remain protected. No action is required by administrators.
